All of us go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without providing it a doubt. Here's where I differ from the rest of you. In the 3rd week, a despair started to creep in. I had absolutely nothing to do, nowhere to go, and loads of time to kill. I began to get depressed.

We have a no cigarette smoking policy in our house, imposed on the bulk (me & my dad) by the minority (my mother). This indicates that whenever we wish to smoke, we have to stand at the back door. From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's house and the fronts of two houses across the street. After smoking cigarettes nearly continually when the anxiety embeded in, I started to observe the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I began to detect when the mums walked their kids to school when they returned when they headed out shopping, when they took the dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would discover myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these ladies set about their daily routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of individuals who walk past your house. I began with a friendly hi and progressed to the point where I generally stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of people would disrupt me now, and say that many women in the house do what I do, talk and stop with the other women. I have two replies. Next is Sheila's home, she's a big Irish lady in her 60's. Last on this site is the removed house where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage children.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's home. Next is our house. Last on the row was a bloke who worked someplace in the City.
