We have a no cigarette smoking policy in our home, enforced on the bulk (me & my daddy) by the minority (my mom). This suggests that whenever we wish to smoke, we have to stand at the back door. From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's home and the fronts of 2 homes across the street. After smoking cigarettes nearly constantly when the depression embeded in, I started to see the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I started to detect when the mums strolled their kids to school when they came back when they headed out shopping, when they took the pet for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would discover myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these ladies tackled their everyday routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who walk past the home. I started with a friendly hey there and progressed to the point where I usually walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. A lot of people would disrupt me now, and state that most women at home do what I do, talk and stop with the other women. On the right-hand side of the road, we begin with Linda's home. She recently separated from her partner and is in the process of moving.
