We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without offering it a 2nd thought. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would find myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these females set about their daily regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with many of the people who walk past the house. I began with a friendly hey there and progressed to the point where I generally stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of people would disrupt me now, and say that the majority of ladies at house do what I do, talk and stop with the other females. It's a really little street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 detached (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited house, and then beside that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is always very first with any chatter. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a huge Irish lady in her 60's. Then last on this site is the detached house where Steve and Mandy deal with their two teenage kids. They remain in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's house. Next is our home. Last on the row was a chap who worked someplace in the City.
