We all support this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without providing it a second thought. Here's where I differ from the rest of you. Up until September, I had been much like you. From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's house and the fronts of two houses throughout the street. I started to pick up on when the mums walked their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who stroll past the home. I started with a friendly hi and advanced to the point where I usually walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. On the right-hand side of the roadway, we begin with Linda's house. She recently separated from her other half and is in the process of moving.
