We all accompany this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without offering it a second thought. Here's where I differ from the rest of you. Up till September, I had been just like you. We have a no smoking policy in our home, enforced on the bulk (me & my daddy) by the minority (my mom). This indicates that whenever we wish to smoke, we have to stand at the back door. From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's house and the fronts of 2 houses across the street. After cigarette smoking practically continuously when the depression embeded in, I began to observe the comings and goings of the people in the street. I began to pick up on when the mums strolled their kids to school when they returned when they went out shopping, when they took the dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would discover myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these women set about their day-to-day routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of the people who stroll past your home. I started with a friendly hello and progressed to the point where I generally stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of people would interrupt me now, and state that most ladies in your home do what I do, chat and stop with the other women. I have two replies. One, I'm male, and two, you do not know the half of all of it. I believe it's time I gave you a complete photo of our street and individuals who reside on it. It will come in helpful in the future. It's a very little street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 separated (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant house, and then beside that is. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a big Irish female in her 60's. Last on this site is the removed house where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage kids.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we start with Linda's home. Next is our home. Last on the row was a chap who worked someplace in the City.
