We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without providing it a second thought. After smoking cigarettes almost continuously when the anxiety set in, I began to see the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I began to detect when the mums strolled their kids to school when they returned when they went out shopping, when they took the canine for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would discover myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these ladies tackled their everyday regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of the people who stroll past your house. I began with a friendly hi and advanced to the point where I usually stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of people would interrupt me now, and say that many females at home do what I do, chat and stop with the other women. I have 2 replies. It's a very little street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 detached (that's 5 structures in all). She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is always very first with any gossip. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a big Irish female in her 60's. Then last on this site is the separated home where Steve and Mandy cope with their two teenage sons. They remain in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's home. Next is our house. Last on the row was a bloke who worked someplace in the City.
