We all support this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without providing it a doubt. Here's where I vary from the rest of you. Up up until September, I had actually been much like you. Triggering to work every day, worried more about what I was going to make with the day rather than what my neighbours would be up to. I developed a problem with my knee. A semi-serious problem. I signed up with the ranks of the long-term ill, continued to get my paycheque, and sat and took it simple. The very first few weeks were great I. managed to get all the little tasks that pile up done. Then in the third week, a malaise began to creep in. I had absolutely nothing to do, no place to go, and loads of time to eliminate. I started to get depressed.

We have a no cigarette smoking policy in our house, imposed on the majority (me & my dad) by the minority (my mother). This suggests that whenever we wish to smoke, we have to stand at the back door. From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's house and the fronts of two houses across the street. After smoking practically constantly when the depression embeded in, I began to discover the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I started to detect when the mums strolled their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the dog for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would find myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these women set about their daily regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who stroll past the house. I started with a friendly hi and advanced to the point where I generally stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most people would interrupt me now, and state that the majority of females in the house do what I do, stop and talk with the other women. I have two replies. One, I'm male, and 2, you do not know the half of all of it. I think it's time I provided you a total photo of our street and the people who reside on it. It will can be found in helpful later on. It's a very small street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 separated (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant home, and then beside that is. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a big Irish woman in her 60's. Last on this website is the detached home where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage children.

On the right-hand side of the road, we begin with Linda's home. Next is our home. Last on the row was a chap who worked somewhere in the City.
