We have a no cigarette smoking policy in our home, enforced on the majority (me & my dad) by the minority (my mother). This implies that whenever we wish to smoke, we need to stand at the back door. From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's house and the fronts of 2 homes across the street. After smoking nearly continuously when the anxiety embeded in, I began to notice the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I began to pick up on when the mums strolled their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the dog for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would discover myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these females set about their everyday regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with many of the individuals who walk past the house. I started with a friendly hi and advanced to the point where I typically walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Last on this site is the detached house where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage kids. They are in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we begin with Linda's house. She just recently separated from her partner and is in the process of moving.
