We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without offering it a second idea. Setting off to work every day, worried more about what I was going to do with the day rather than what my neighbours would be up to. I began to detect when the mums strolled their kids to school when they returned when they went out shopping, when they took the pet for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would find myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these females went about their daily regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with many of the individuals who stroll past the house. I began with a friendly hi and progressed to the point where I usually stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many people would disrupt me now, and say that many ladies at house do what I do, stop and chat with the other women. It's a really small street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 detached (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant home, and then beside that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is always very first with any chatter. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a huge Irish woman in her 60's. Then last on this website is the separated home where Steve and Mandy deal with their two teenage children. They are in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's house. Next is our home. Last on the row was a bloke who worked somewhere in the City.
