November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with many of the people who walk past the house. I began with a friendly hello and progressed to the point where I usually walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most people would interrupt me now, and say that the majority of ladies at house do what I do, chat and stop with the other females. It's a very small street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 separated (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited home, and then beside that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is always first with any chatter. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a huge Irish lady in her 60's. Last on this site is the separated house where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage sons. They are in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's house. She just recently separated from her husband and remains in the process of moving. She remains in her mid 30's and has two pre-teen daughters Emma and Becky. Next is our house. I have not introduced myself yet, so now would be a good time.
