We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without offering it a reservation. Here's where I differ from the rest of you. Up till September, I had been much like you. I joined the ranks of the long-lasting sick, continued to receive my paycheque, and sat and took it easy. The first couple of weeks were fine I. managed to get all the little jobs that pile up done. In the third week, a malaise started to sneak in. I had nothing to do, nowhere to go, and loads of time to kill. I started to get depressed.

We have a no cigarette smoking policy in our home, enforced on the majority (me & my daddy) by the minority (my mother). From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's house and the fronts of 2 houses across the street. I started to pick up on when the mums walked their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the pet dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with many of the people who stroll past the home. I began with a friendly hello and progressed to the point where I usually stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many people would disrupt me now, and state that many females at house do what I do, chat and stop with the other females. It's a very small street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 detached (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited home, and then beside that is. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a big Irish lady in her 60's. Last on this site is the removed house where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage sons.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we begin with Linda's home. Next is our house. Last on the row was a chap who worked somewhere in the City.
