In the 3rd week, a despair began to sneak in. I had absolutely nothing to do, no place to go, and loads of time to eliminate. I started to get depressed.

We have a no smoking policy in our home, imposed on the bulk (me & my dad) by the minority (my mother). From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's house and the fronts of 2 houses throughout the street. I started to pick up on when the mums walked their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of individuals who walk past your house. I began with a friendly hello and progressed to the point where I typically walk down to the garden gate and have a chat.
