We all support this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without providing it a second thought. Here's where I differ from the rest of you. Up until September, I had been just like you. Triggering to work every day, worried more about what I was going to make with the day instead of what my neighbours would be up to. I established a problem with my knee. A semi-serious problem. It didn't stop me from doing most things, I might walk, run, and climb, but it did stop me from driving, and that in turn stopped me from working. I signed up with the ranks of the long-lasting ill, continued to get my paycheque, and sat and took it easy. The first few weeks were great I. managed to get all the little tasks that pile up done. In the 3rd week, a malaise started to sneak in. I had nothing to do, nowhere to go, and loads of time to kill. I began to get depressed.

We have a no smoking policy in our house, implemented on the bulk (me & my dad) by the minority (my mother). From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's home and the fronts of 2 homes across the street. I began to pick up on when the mums walked their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the pet for a walk, and when they sat in the garden.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with many of the people who stroll past the house. I began with a friendly hello and progressed to the point where I usually stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many individuals would interrupt me now, and say that the majority of women at home do what I do, talk and stop with the other ladies. It's a very small street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 separated (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited house, and then beside that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is constantly first with any chatter. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a big Irish female in her 60's. Last on this website is the separated home where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage sons. They are in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we begin with Linda's house. She recently separated from her partner and remains in the process of moving. She remains in her mid 30's and has two pre-teen children Emma and Becky. Next is our home. I haven't introduced myself yet, so now would be a great time. I'm John (28 ), and I cope with my mum Chrissie (45) and papa Bob (52 ). Next along are some beginners. At this time in November, I didn't understand their names, so-called them Dick and Helen to myself. Obviously, whenever I spoke to them, I used terms like a neighbour to bridge this gap in my knowledge. They were a couple, in their late 30's, early 40's, and they seemed to keep themselves to themselves. Last on the row was a bloke who worked someplace in the City. I never spoke with him, even though what I'm about to inform you, so this is the last time I mention him.
