All of us support this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without offering it a reservation. Here's where I differ from the rest of you. Then in the 3rd week, a malaise started to creep in. I had nothing to do, no place to go, and loads of time to kill. I began to get depressed.

We have a no smoking cigarettes policy in our house, implemented on the bulk (me & my dad) by the minority (my mom). This means that whenever we want to smoke, we have to stand at the back door. From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's home and the fronts of two houses across the street. After smoking cigarettes nearly continually when the anxiety set in, I began to see the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I started to pick up on when the mums walked their kids to school when they returned when they headed out shopping, when they took the pet for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would find myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these ladies went about their everyday routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with many of the individuals who stroll past the house. I began with a friendly hi and advanced to the point where I typically walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of people would disrupt me now, and say that the majority of females at house do what I do, stop and chat with the other ladies. It's a really small street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 detached (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant home, and then beside that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is always first with any gossip. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a big Irish woman in her 60's. Then last on this website is the detached house where Steve and Mandy cope with their two teenage kids. They remain in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's home. Next is our home. Last on the row was a bloke who worked someplace in the City.
