November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who walk past the home. I started with a friendly hello and advanced to the point where I usually walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is always very first with any chatter. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a big Irish woman in her 60's. Then last on this site is the detached house where Steve and Mandy cope with their 2 teenage boys. They are in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we begin with Linda's home. Next is our home. Last on the row was a bloke who worked somewhere in the City.
