With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would find myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these women set about their day-to-day regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who stroll past your house. I started with a friendly hi and advanced to the point where I normally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat.
