I had absolutely nothing to do, nowhere to go, and loads of time to kill. I started to get depressed.

We have a no smoking cigarettes policy in our house, implemented on the bulk (me & my dad) by the minority (my mom). From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's house and the fronts of two homes throughout the street. I began to select up on when the mums walked their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the pet for a walk, and when they sat in the garden.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of individuals who walk past the house. I began with a friendly hey there and advanced to the point where I generally stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most people would disrupt me now, and say that many ladies in your home do what I do, talk and stop with the other women. I have two replies. One, I'm male, and 2, you don't understand the half of it all. I think it's time I gave you a complete image of our street and individuals who survive on it. It will be available in helpful later on. It's a really little street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 separated (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited home, and after that next to that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is always first with any gossip. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a big Irish woman in her 60's. Then last on this site is the separated house where Steve and Mandy cope with their 2 teenage children. They are in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we begin with Linda's home. Next is our home. Last on the row was a chap who worked someplace in the City.
