We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without giving it a 2nd idea. I began to detect when the mums strolled their kids to school when they came back when they headed out shopping, when they took the pet dog for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would find myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these women went about their daily regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of individuals who walk past the house. I started with a friendly hello and advanced to the point where I usually stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most people would interrupt me now, and state that most females at home do what I do, stop and chat with the other women. I have 2 replies. One, I'm male, and 2, you do not know the half of all of it. I believe it's time I gave you a complete picture of our street and the people who survive on it. It will be available in helpful later. It's a really little street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 removed (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant home, and then beside that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is constantly first with any chatter. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a big Irish lady in her 60's. Last on this site is the detached house where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage children. They are in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's home. Next is our house. Last on the row was a chap who worked someplace in the City.
