We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without giving it a 2nd idea. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would discover myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these ladies tackled their everyday routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who walk past the house. I began with a friendly hi and advanced to the point where I typically walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of people would disrupt me now, and say that most women at house do what I do, stop and chat with the other females. It's a very little street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 removed (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited home, and after that next to that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is constantly very first with any gossip. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a big Irish lady in her 60's. Last on this site is the detached home where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage kids. They remain in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's home. She just recently separated from her husband and is in the process of moving. She remains in her mid 30's and has 2 pre-teen children Emma and Becky. Next is our home. I have not introduced myself yet, so now would be a great time. I'm John (28 ), and I cope with my mum Chrissie (45) and daddy Bob (52 ). Next along are some beginners.
