From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's house and the fronts of two homes across the street. After smoking practically continually when the anxiety set in, I started to discover the comings and goings of the people in the street. I began to detect when the mums walked their kids to school when they returned when they went out shopping, when they took the dog for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would find myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these women went about their everyday routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of the people who stroll past your home. I began with a friendly hello and advanced to the point where I normally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat.
