We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without offering it a 2nd idea. I started to detect when the mums walked their kids to school when they came back when they headed out shopping, when they took the dog for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would find myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these ladies tackled their day-to-day routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the individuals who walk past the house. I began with a friendly hi and advanced to the point where I generally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many individuals would interrupt me now, and say that a lot of females at house do what I do, talk and stop with the other females. It's a really little street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 removed (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant house, and after that next to that is. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a big Irish female in her 60's. Last on this site is the separated house where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage boys.

On the right-hand side of the road, we begin with Linda's house. Next is our home. Last on the row was a chap who worked someplace in the City.
