All of us go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without giving it a doubt. Here's where I differ from the rest of you. Up till September, I had been much like you. From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's house and the fronts of 2 homes across the street. After cigarette smoking almost continuously when the anxiety set in, I began to notice the comings and goings of the people in the street. I started to pick up on when the mums walked their kids to school when they returned when they went out shopping, when they took the dog for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would find myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these ladies went about their day-to-day regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with many of the individuals who stroll past the home. I started with a friendly hello and progressed to the point where I typically walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of individuals would interrupt me now, and say that a lot of females at house do what I do, chat and stop with the other females. It's a very small street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 detached (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant house, and then beside that is. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a huge Irish lady in her 60's. Last on this site is the separated home where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage boys.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we start with Linda's house. Next is our home. Last on the row was a bloke who worked someplace in the City.
