We all support this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without providing it a doubt. Here's where I differ from the rest of you. Up till September, I had actually been much like you. The very first few weeks were great I. managed to get all the little jobs that accumulate done. Then in the 3rd week, a malaise began to creep in. I had nothing to do, no place to go, and loads of time to eliminate. I began to get depressed.

We have a no smoking policy in our home, imposed on the majority (me & my father) by the minority (my mother). From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's house and the fronts of 2 homes throughout the street. I began to select up on when the mums strolled their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the pet dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of individuals who walk past your home. I started with a friendly hey there and advanced to the point where I usually walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many people would interrupt me now, and say that many ladies in your home do what I do, stop and talk with the other women. I have 2 replies. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is always first with any chatter. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a big Irish female in her 60's. Last on this site is the detached home where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage children. They are in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's house. Next is our home. Last on the row was a chap who worked somewhere in the City.
