November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with many of the individuals who walk past the home. I began with a friendly hello and progressed to the point where I generally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. A lot of people would interrupt me now, and say that a lot of ladies at home do what I do, stop and talk with the other women. It's a really small street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 separated (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant home, and then next to that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is constantly first with any gossip. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a huge Irish woman in her 60's. Last on this website is the removed house where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage kids. They are in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we start with Linda's house. Next is our home. Last on the row was a chap who worked somewhere in the City.
