We all support this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without providing it a doubt. Here's where I vary from the rest of you. Up until September, I had been much like you. Then in the third week, a despair began to creep in. I had absolutely nothing to do, no place to go, and loads of time to kill. I started to get depressed.

We have a no cigarette smoking policy in our home, implemented on the bulk (me & my father) by the minority (my mother). From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's house and the fronts of two homes across the street. I started to select up on when the mums strolled their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the canine for a walk, and when they sat in the garden.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who walk past your home. I started with a friendly hi and progressed to the point where I normally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is constantly first with any chatter. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a huge Irish female in her 60's. Last on this site is the separated house where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage kids. They are in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we start with Linda's home. Next is our house. Last on the row was a bloke who worked someplace in the City.
