All of us go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without providing it a second thought. Here's where I vary from the rest of you. Up until September, I had been just like you. We have a no cigarette smoking policy in our home, implemented on the bulk (me & my daddy) by the minority (my mom). This means that whenever we wish to smoke, we need to stand at the back door. From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's home and the fronts of 2 houses across the street. After smoking practically continually when the depression set in, I started to see the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I started to pick up on when the mums walked their kids to school when they returned when they went out shopping, when they took the pet dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would discover myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these ladies tackled their daily routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who walk past your house. I began with a friendly hi and advanced to the point where I generally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of people would disrupt me now, and say that a lot of women in your home do what I do, chat and stop with the other women. I have two replies.
