All of us support this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without giving it a doubt. Here's where I differ from the rest of you. Up till September, I had been just like you. I had absolutely nothing to do, no place to go, and loads of time to kill. I began to get depressed.

We have a no cigarette smoking policy in our house, implemented on the majority (me & my dad) by the minority (my mom). This indicates that whenever we want to smoke, we have to stand at the back entrance. From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's home and the fronts of 2 homes across the street. After cigarette smoking almost constantly when the anxiety set in, I began to discover the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I began to pick up on when the mums walked their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the pet for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would discover myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these ladies tackled their everyday regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with many of the individuals who walk past the home. I began with a friendly hi and progressed to the point where I normally stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many people would interrupt me now, and say that the majority of females at house do what I do, stop and chat with the other females. It's a very small street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 detached (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant home, and after that next to that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is constantly very first with any gossip. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a big Irish woman in her 60's. Then last on this website is the detached home where Steve and Mandy deal with their two teenage sons. They remain in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we begin with Linda's home. Next is our home. Last on the row was a bloke who worked somewhere in the City.
