From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's house and the fronts of 2 homes throughout the street. I started to pick up on when the mums strolled their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of individuals who stroll past the house. I started with a friendly hey there and advanced to the point where I normally stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most people would interrupt me now, and say that the majority of women in the house do what I do, stop and chat with the other women. I have two replies. One, I'm male, and 2, you don't know the half of it all. I believe it's time I offered you a total picture of our street and individuals who survive on it. It will be available in helpful in the future. It's a very little street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 separated (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited house, and then next to that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is always first with any chatter. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a big Irish woman in her 60's. Then last on this site is the removed home where Steve and Mandy deal with their two teenage sons. They are in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we start with Linda's house. Next is our house. Last on the row was a chap who worked someplace in the City.
