I started to pick up on when the mums walked their kids to school when they returned when they went out shopping, when they took the canine for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would discover myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these women tackled their day-to-day regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who stroll past the house. I started with a friendly hello and advanced to the point where I generally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many people would interrupt me now, and state that most women in the house do what I do, talk and stop with the other women. I have two replies.
