November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with many of the individuals who stroll past the house. I started with a friendly hey there and advanced to the point where I normally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most people would interrupt me now, and say that a lot of females at home do what I do, chat and stop with the other women. It's a really little street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 detached (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant house, and after that next to that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is always very first with any gossip. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a huge Irish lady in her 60's. Then last on this site is the removed house where Steve and Mandy cope with their two teenage sons. They remain in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's home. Next is our house. Last on the row was a bloke who worked someplace in the City.
