We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without offering it a second thought. I started to pick up on when the mums walked their kids to school when they came back when they headed out shopping, when they took the canine for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would find myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these females tackled their daily routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who walk past your home. I began with a friendly hi and progressed to the point where I typically stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of people would interrupt me now, and say that most females in your home do what I do, talk and stop with the other women. I have 2 replies. It's a really small street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 separated (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant house, and then beside that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is constantly first with any chatter. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a big Irish woman in her 60's. Last on this site is the detached house where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage kids. They are in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's house. Next is our house. Last on the row was a bloke who worked someplace in the City.
