I had nothing to do, nowhere to go, and loads of time to kill. I began to get depressed.

We have a no smoking cigarettes policy in our house, imposed on the bulk (me & my dad) by the minority (my mom). This means that whenever we wish to smoke, we have to stand at the back entrance. From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's home and the fronts of two houses across the street. After smoking practically continually when the depression set in, I started to notice the comings and goings of the people in the street. I started to detect when the mums walked their kids to school when they returned when they headed out shopping, when they took the pet for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would discover myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these females set about their daily regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of the people who stroll past your house. I began with a friendly hey there and progressed to the point where I usually stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most people would disrupt me now, and say that most women at home do what I do, stop and talk with the other women. I have two replies. One, I'm male, and 2, you do not know the half of everything. Last on this site is the separated house where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage kids. They remain in their late 30's.
