All of us support this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without providing it a doubt. Here's where I vary from the rest of you. Up till September, I had actually been much like you. The very first few weeks were great I. managed to get all the little tasks that accumulate done. In the 3rd week, a malaise began to sneak in. I had absolutely nothing to do, no place to go, and loads of time to eliminate. I started to get depressed.

We have a no smoking cigarettes policy in our house, implemented on the majority (me & my dad) by the minority (my mother). This means that whenever we wish to smoke, we need to stand at the back door. From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's house and the fronts of two homes across the street. After cigarette smoking almost continually when the depression set in, I started to see the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I started to detect when the mums strolled their kids to school when they came back when they headed out shopping, when they took the pet dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would discover myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these females went about their daily routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who stroll past your house. I started with a friendly hello and advanced to the point where I typically stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of people would interrupt me now, and state that a lot of women in the house do what I do, stop and talk with the other women. I have 2 replies. One, I'm male, and two, you do not know the half of everything. I think it's time I offered you a complete picture of our street and the people who reside on it. It will come in helpful later. It's a really little street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 separated (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant house, and then beside that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is constantly first with any chatter. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a big Irish lady in her 60's. Then last on this website is the removed home where Steve and Mandy cope with their 2 teenage kids. They remain in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we begin with Linda's home. Next is our house. Last on the row was a bloke who worked someplace in the City.
