We have a no smoking policy in our house, imposed on the bulk (me & my father) by the minority (my mom). This indicates that whenever we wish to smoke, we need to stand at the back door. From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's home and the fronts of two houses across the street. After smoking cigarettes practically continuously when the depression embeded in, I started to notice the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I began to pick up on when the mums walked their kids to school when they returned when they headed out shopping, when they took the pet for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would find myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these women went about their day-to-day regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who stroll past your house. I began with a friendly hey there and progressed to the point where I normally stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most people would interrupt me now, and state that most ladies in your home do what I do, stop and chat with the other women. I have two replies.
