We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without offering it a 2nd idea. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would discover myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these women set about their day-to-day regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with many of the individuals who stroll past the home. I began with a friendly hi and progressed to the point where I normally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many individuals would interrupt me now, and say that most ladies at home do what I do, talk and stop with the other women. It's a really small street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 detached (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant home, and after that next to that is. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a huge Irish woman in her 60's. Last on this website is the separated home where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage sons.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we begin with Linda's home. Next is our home. Last on the row was a chap who worked someplace in the City.
