We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without offering it a second idea. Setting off to work every day, worried more about what I was going to do with the day rather than what my neighbours would be up to. From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's house and the fronts of two houses across the street. After smoking almost constantly when the anxiety set in, I started to see the comings and goings of the people in the street. I started to detect when the mums walked their kids to school when they returned when they headed out shopping, when they took the pet for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would discover myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these women tackled their everyday routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with many of the people who stroll past the home. I started with a friendly hi and advanced to the point where I usually stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most people would disrupt me now, and state that a lot of ladies at home do what I do, chat and stop with the other ladies. It's a really small street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 separated (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant house, and after that next to that is. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a big Irish lady in her 60's. Last on this website is the detached home where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage sons.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's home. Next is our house. Last on the row was a bloke who worked someplace in the City.
