We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without offering it a second idea. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would discover myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these ladies set about their daily regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who walk past the house. I started with a friendly hey there and advanced to the point where I generally stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of people would disrupt me now, and say that a lot of females at house do what I do, chat and stop with the other ladies. It's a very little street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 detached (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant home, and after that next to that is. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a huge Irish woman in her 60's. Last on this site is the removed home where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage children.

On the right-hand side of the road, we begin with Linda's house. Next is our house. Last on the row was a chap who worked someplace in the City.
