All of us go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without offering it a second thought. Here's where I differ from the rest of you. In the third week, a despair started to sneak in. I had absolutely nothing to do, no place to go, and loads of time to kill. I began to get depressed.

We have a no smoking policy in our house, imposed on the majority (me & my father) by the minority (my mother). From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's house and the fronts of 2 homes across the street. I started to choose up on when the mums walked their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the canine for a walk, and when they sat in the garden.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of individuals who walk past your home. I started with a friendly hello and progressed to the point where I generally stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many people would disrupt me now, and say that a lot of women in the house do what I do, stop and chat with the other women. I have 2 replies. Next is Sheila's house, she's a big Irish woman in her 60's. Last on this site is the separated house where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage kids.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we begin with Linda's house. Next is our house. Last on the row was a bloke who worked somewhere in the City.
