We all support this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without offering it a second thought. Here's where I differ from the rest of you. Up till September, I had been just like you. We have a no cigarette smoking policy in our house, imposed on the bulk (me & my daddy) by the minority (my mother). This suggests that whenever we want to smoke, we need to stand at the back door. From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's house and the fronts of 2 homes across the street. After smoking cigarettes almost continually when the depression embeded in, I started to see the comings and goings of the people in the street. I started to detect when the mums walked their kids to school when they returned when they went out shopping, when they took the canine for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would discover myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these ladies tackled their day-to-day routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of the people who walk past your house. I started with a friendly hi and progressed to the point where I usually stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most people would interrupt me now, and state that most females in the house do what I do, stop and chat with the other women. I have two replies.
