The first couple of weeks were fine I. managed to get all the little tasks that pile up done. Then in the third week, a malaise began to creep in. I had absolutely nothing to do, nowhere to go, and loads of time to kill. I began to get depressed.

We have a no cigarette smoking policy in our house, enforced on the majority (me & my daddy) by the minority (my mom). From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's home and the fronts of 2 homes throughout the street. I started to choose up on when the mums walked their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the canine for a walk, and when they sat in the garden.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with many of the individuals who walk past the home. I started with a friendly hey there and progressed to the point where I usually walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. A lot of people would interrupt me now, and say that most females at home do what I do, chat and stop with the other ladies. It's a extremely small street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 separated (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant house, and after that next to that is. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a big Irish female in her 60's. Last on this site is the separated home where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage kids.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we start with Linda's home. Next is our house. Last on the row was a chap who worked someplace in the City.
