We all support this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without providing it a doubt. Here's where I differ from the rest of you. Up till September, I had been similar to you. I signed up with the ranks of the long-term ill, continued to get my paycheque, and sat and took it simple. The first few weeks were fine I. managed to get all the little jobs that accumulate done. Then in the third week, a despair started to sneak in. I had absolutely nothing to do, no place to go, and loads of time to eliminate. I started to get depressed.

We have a no smoking policy in our house, implemented on the bulk (me & my dad) by the minority (my mother). From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's house and the fronts of two houses across the street. I started to pick up on when the mums walked their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the pet dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of individuals who walk past your house. I started with a friendly hey there and progressed to the point where I normally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of people would interrupt me now, and say that a lot of women in your home do what I do, stop and talk with the other women. I have two replies. One, I'm male, and two, you don't know the half of it all. I think it's time I offered you a total photo of our street and individuals who live on it. It will come in helpful later. It's a very little street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 separated (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited house, and then next to that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is always very first with any chatter. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a huge Irish female in her 60's. Then last on this site is the removed house where Steve and Mandy cope with their two teenage children. They remain in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we begin with Linda's home. Next is our home. Last on the row was a bloke who worked somewhere in the City.
