November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the individuals who stroll past the house. I began with a friendly hi and advanced to the point where I normally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant home, and then beside that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is always first with any chatter. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a big Irish lady in her 60's. Last on this site is the removed house where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage boys. They are in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we start with Linda's house. Next is our home. Last on the row was a chap who worked somewhere in the City.
