After smoking cigarettes almost constantly when the anxiety set in, I began to notice the comings and goings of the people in the street. I began to detect when the mums strolled their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the canine for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would find myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these females went about their everyday routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who walk past the house. I started with a friendly hi and advanced to the point where I normally stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many people would interrupt me now, and say that most females at home do what I do, stop and talk with the other females.
