We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without providing it a second thought. Setting off to work every day, worried more about what I was going to do with the day rather than what my neighbours would be up to. After smoking cigarettes practically continuously when the anxiety set in, I started to see the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I began to pick up on when the mums walked their kids to school when they came back when they headed out shopping, when they took the pet for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would find myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these females tackled their daily regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of individuals who walk past the house. I started with a friendly hey there and advanced to the point where I usually stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many people would interrupt me now, and state that many women in the house do what I do, stop and talk with the other women. I have two replies. It's a very small street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 removed (that's 5 structures in all). Next is Sheila's house, she's a huge Irish female in her 60's. Last on this site is the separated house where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage children.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we start with Linda's house. She just recently separated from her husband and is in the procedure of moving. She is in her mid 30's and has two pre-teen daughters Emma and Becky. Next is our house. I have not introduced myself yet, so now would be a great time. I'm John (28 ), and I deal with my mum Chrissie (45) and daddy Bob (52 ). Next along are some newbies. At this time in November, I didn't know their names, so-called them Dick and Helen to myself.
