After cigarette smoking almost continuously when the depression embeded in, I began to notice the comings and goings of the people in the street. I began to pick up on when the mums strolled their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the canine for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would discover myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these females set about their daily regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with many of the people who stroll past the house. I started with a friendly hi and progressed to the point where I normally stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many individuals would disrupt me now, and say that most women at home do what I do, stop and chat with the other females.
