We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without giving it a 2nd idea. Setting off to work every day, concerned more about what I was going to do with the day rather than what my neighbours would be up to. After smoking practically continually when the depression set in, I started to see the comings and goings of the people in the street. I began to detect when the mums strolled their kids to school when they returned when they headed out shopping, when they took the pet dog for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would find myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these females set about their day-to-day routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of the people who walk past your house. I began with a friendly hi and advanced to the point where I typically walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most people would disrupt me now, and state that a lot of females in the house do what I do, talk and stop with the other women. I have 2 replies. One, I'm male, and two, you do not know the half of everything. I think it's time I provided you a complete image of our street and individuals who survive on it. It will come in beneficial later. It's a very small street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 removed (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited house, and then next to that is. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a big Irish woman in her 60's. Last on this website is the detached home where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage kids.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we begin with Linda's house. Next is our house. Last on the row was a bloke who worked someplace in the City.
