All of us support this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without providing it a second thought. Here's where I vary from the rest of you. I had nothing to do, nowhere to go, and loads of time to kill. I started to get depressed.

We have a no cigarette smoking policy in our house, implemented on the bulk (me & my father) by the minority (my mother). From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's home and the fronts of 2 houses throughout the street. I began to select up on when the mums strolled their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the canine for a walk, and when they sat in the garden.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the individuals who stroll past the home. I started with a friendly hi and progressed to the point where I usually stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of individuals would disrupt me now, and state that many ladies at house do what I do, chat and stop with the other women. It's a really little street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 removed (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant home, and then next to that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is constantly first with any chatter. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a huge Irish lady in her 60's. Then last on this site is the separated house where Steve and Mandy deal with their 2 teenage children. They remain in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's home. Next is our home. Last on the row was a chap who worked someplace in the City.
