We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without offering it a second idea. After cigarette smoking practically continually when the depression set in, I began to see the comings and goings of the people in the street. I started to pick up on when the mums strolled their kids to school when they returned when they headed out shopping, when they took the dog for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would find myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these females went about their daily routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of the people who stroll past your home. I began with a friendly hey there and progressed to the point where I usually walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most people would disrupt me now, and state that the majority of females in the house do what I do, stop and chat with the other women. I have 2 replies. One, I'm male, and 2, you do not know the half of it all. I believe it's time I gave you a total image of our street and the people who survive on it. It will can be found in useful later. It's a really small street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 removed (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant house, and then next to that is. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a huge Irish woman in her 60's. Last on this site is the detached house where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage sons.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we begin with Linda's home. Next is our house. Last on the row was a bloke who worked someplace in the City.
