From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's home and the fronts of 2 homes across the street. After smoking cigarettes practically constantly when the anxiety set in, I began to see the comings and goings of the people in the street. I started to detect when the mums walked their kids to school when they returned when they went out shopping, when they took the dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would discover myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these ladies went about their daily routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who walk past your home. I began with a friendly hello and progressed to the point where I usually stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most people would interrupt me now, and state that a lot of females in your home do what I do, stop and chat with the other women. I have two replies. On the right-hand side of the roadway, we start with Linda's home. Next is our home. Last on the row was a chap who worked somewhere in the City.
