November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with many of the people who walk past the house. I began with a friendly hi and advanced to the point where I generally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. A lot of people would interrupt me now, and say that a lot of women at house do what I do, stop and chat with the other women. It's a extremely little street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 detached (that's 5 structures in all).
