We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without giving it a second idea. After cigarette smoking almost continuously when the depression set in, I began to notice the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I started to detect when the mums walked their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the pet for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would find myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these ladies set about their everyday regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with many of the people who walk past the home. I began with a friendly hey there and progressed to the point where I generally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of people would disrupt me now, and say that many females at home do what I do, chat and stop with the other women. It's a extremely small street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 removed (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant home, and after that next to that is. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a huge Irish female in her 60's. Last on this site is the separated home where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage kids.
