All of us go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without giving it a reservation. Here's where I differ from the rest of you. Up till September, I had been just like you. We have a no smoking policy in our house, enforced on the bulk (me & my father) by the minority (my mom). From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's home and the fronts of two houses across the street. I started to select up on when the mums walked their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the pet dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with many of the individuals who walk past the home. I began with a friendly hi and advanced to the point where I normally stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of individuals would disrupt me now, and state that a lot of women at home do what I do, stop and talk with the other women. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is always very first with any gossip. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a huge Irish woman in her 60's. Last on this site is the detached house where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage children. They remain in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's house. Next is our house. Last on the row was a chap who worked someplace in the City.
