We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without giving it a 2nd thought. After cigarette smoking almost continually when the depression embeded in, I began to see the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I started to detect when the mums strolled their kids to school when they came back when they headed out shopping, when they took the canine for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With nothing else to do, my mind filed away the regular times and I would find myself unconsciously having a cigarette when these females went about their daily regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of the people who stroll past the house. I started with a friendly hey there and progressed to the point where I typically stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many people would disrupt me now, and state that most ladies in the house do what I do, stop and talk with the other women. I have 2 replies. One, I'm male, and two, you do not know the half of it all. I believe it's time I offered you a total photo of our street and individuals who live on it. It will come in helpful in the future. It's a very small street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 separated (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant house, and then next to that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is always first with any chatter. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a huge Irish woman in her 60's. Then last on this site is the separated home where Steve and Mandy cope with their two teenage boys. They are in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's home. Next is our home. Last on the row was a chap who worked somewhere in the City.
