All of us accompany this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without providing it a second thought. Here's where I vary from the rest of you. Up up until September, I had been much like you. In the 3rd week, a malaise started to sneak in. I had nothing to do, no place to go, and loads of time to eliminate. I started to get depressed.

We have a no smoking policy in our house, imposed on the bulk (me & my father) by the minority (my mother). This means that whenever we want to smoke, we need to stand at the back entrance. From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's house and the fronts of 2 houses across the street. After cigarette smoking nearly continuously when the depression set in, I began to observe the comings and goings of the people in the street. I began to detect when the mums strolled their kids to school when they returned when they went out shopping, when they took the pet dog for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would find myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these females set about their daily routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of individuals who stroll past your house. I began with a friendly hi and progressed to the point where I generally stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many people would disrupt me now, and state that many females at home do what I do, talk and stop with the other women. I have 2 replies. It's a very little street, 8 semi-detached homes and 1 detached (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant house, and after that next to that is. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a huge Irish lady in her 60's. Last on this website is the removed house where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage children.

On the right-hand side of the road, we begin with Linda's house. She recently separated from her partner and is in the procedure of moving. She remains in her mid 30's and has two pre-teen daughters Emma and Becky. Next is our house. I have not presented myself yet, so now would be a great time. I'm John (28 ), and I live with my mum Chrissie (45) and father Bob (52 ). Next along are some newbies. At this time in November, I didn't understand their names, so-called them Dick and Helen to myself. Naturally, whenever I spoke to them, I used terms like a neighbour to bridge this gap in my understanding. They were a couple, in their late 30's, early 40's, and they appeared to keep themselves to themselves. Last on the row was a bloke who worked someplace in the City. I never ever spoke to him, although what I'm about to tell you, so this is the last time I mention him.
