We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without offering it a second thought. November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of the people who walk past your house. I started with a friendly hello and progressed to the point where I usually walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many people would interrupt me now, and state that many women in the house do what I do, talk and stop with the other women. I have 2 replies. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is always first with any chatter. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a huge Irish female in her 60's. Last on this site is the separated house where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage sons. They remain in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we start with Linda's house. She just recently separated from her partner and is in the procedure of moving. She is in her mid 30's and has two pre-teen children Emma and Becky. Next is our house. I have not introduced myself yet, so now would be a good time. I'm John (28 ), and I cope with my mum Chrissie (45) and daddy Bob (52 ). Next along are some newcomers. At this time in November, I didn't know their names, so-called them Dick and Helen to myself.
