We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without giving it a 2nd idea. November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who walk past the house. I started with a friendly hello and advanced to the point where I normally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most people would interrupt me now, and state that a lot of women at home do what I do, stop and chat with the other women. I have 2 replies. One, I'm male, and two, you don't know the half of it all. I believe it's time I offered you a total photo of our street and the people who reside on it. It will can be found in useful in the future. It's a very small street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 separated (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited house, and then next to that is. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a big Irish lady in her 60's. Last on this site is the detached home where Steve and Mandy live with their 2 teenage children.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we begin with Linda's home. Next is our home. Last on the row was a chap who worked somewhere in the City.
