We have a no smoking cigarettes policy in our house, imposed on the majority (me & my dad) by the minority (my mom). This indicates that whenever we want to smoke, we have to stand at the back entrance. From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's house and the fronts of 2 houses across the street. After smoking almost continually when the depression set in, I started to discover the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I started to pick up on when the mums walked their kids to school when they returned when they headed out shopping, when they took the pet dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would find myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these females went about their day-to-day regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of the people who walk past your home. I began with a friendly hey there and advanced to the point where I typically stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most people would interrupt me now, and state that the majority of ladies at home do what I do, stop and talk with the other women. I have two replies. One, I'm male, and two, you don't know the half of all of it. I believe it's time I offered you a total image of our street and the people who survive on it. It will be available in helpful later on. It's a extremely little street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 detached (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant house, and then beside that is. Next up is Graham's house, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a big Irish lady in her 60's. Last on this website is the detached house where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage boys.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we start with Linda's house. Next is our home. Last on the row was a chap who worked someplace in the City.
