We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without providing it a 2nd idea. After smoking nearly continually when the anxiety set in, I started to see the comings and goings of the people in the street. I started to detect when the mums walked their kids to school when they returned when they went out shopping, when they took the dog for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would find myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these females tackled their everyday routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of individuals who stroll past the house. I began with a friendly hello and advanced to the point where I typically walk down to the garden gate and have a chat. Most people would disrupt me now, and say that most women in your home do what I do, stop and talk with the other women. I have 2 replies. One, I'm male, and two, you don't understand the half of it all. I think it's time I offered you a total image of our street and individuals who live on it. It will come in useful in the future. It's a really little street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 removed (that's 5 structures in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a uninhabited home, and then next to that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is constantly first with any chatter. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a big Irish female in her 60's. Last on this website is the removed home where Steve and Mandy live with their two teenage boys. They are in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's house. Next is our house. Last on the row was a bloke who worked somewhere in the City.
