We all go along with this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without providing it a 2nd thought. Setting off to work every day, worried more about what I was going to do with the day rather than what my neighbours would be up to. After smoking nearly constantly when the anxiety embeded in, I started to observe the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I began to pick up on when the mums strolled their kids to school when they returned when they headed out shopping, when they took the pet for a walk, and when they sat in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would find myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these females set about their daily regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with many of the individuals who stroll past the home. I started with a friendly hi and advanced to the point where I generally stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of people would interrupt me now, and state that a lot of females at home do what I do, talk and stop with the other females. It's a very small street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 separated (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant house, and after that next to that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is always very first with any gossip. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's home, she's a huge Irish woman in her 60's. Then last on this website is the removed home where Steve and Mandy deal with their two teenage boys. They remain in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the road, we start with Linda's home. She just recently separated from her hubby and remains in the procedure of moving. She is in her mid 30's and has two pre-teen daughters Emma and Becky. Next is our house. I haven't presented myself yet, so now would be a great time. I'm John (28 ), and I deal with my mum Chrissie (45) and father Bob (52 ). Next along are some beginners. At this time in November, I didn't know their names, so-called them Dick and Helen to myself. I never ever talked to him, although what I'm about to tell you, so this is the last time I mention him.
