We all support this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without giving it a second thought. Here's where I vary from the rest of you. Up until September, I had been just like you. Setting off to work every day, concerned more about what I was going to make with the day instead of what my neighbours would depend on. Then, I developed a issue with my knee. A semi-serious issue. It didn't stop me from doing most things, I could walk, run, and climb, but it did stop me from driving, which in turn stopped me from working. I joined the ranks of the long-term sick, continued to get my paycheque, and sat and took it easy. The first few weeks were great I. managed to get all the little tasks that pile up done. Then in the 3rd week, a malaise began to creep in. I had absolutely nothing to do, nowhere to go, and loads of time to eliminate. I started to get depressed.

We have a no cigarette smoking policy in our house, imposed on the majority (me & my father) by the minority (my mom). This means that whenever we want to smoke, we need to stand at the back door. From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's house and the fronts of two houses across the street. After smoking cigarettes nearly continuously when the depression embeded in, I began to discover the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I started to detect when the mums strolled their kids to school when they returned when they headed out shopping, when they took the pet for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would discover myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these ladies went about their everyday regimens.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of individuals who walk past your home. I started with a friendly hello and progressed to the point where I normally stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. Many people would disrupt me now, and say that many women in your home do what I do, stop and talk with the other women. I have 2 replies. She remains in her mid 30's and has 2 pre-teen children Emma and Becky. Next is our house. I have not presented myself yet, so now would be a great time. I never ever talked to him, although what I'm about to inform you, so this is the last time I discuss him.
