From here, you can see the entryway to our neighbour's house and the fronts of two houses across the street. After smoking cigarettes almost continuously when the anxiety embeded in, I began to observe the comings and goings of individuals in the street. I started to pick up on when the mums walked their kids to school when they returned when they headed out shopping, when they took the canine for a walk, and when they beinged in the garden. With absolutely nothing else to do, my mind filed away the routine times and I would discover myself subconsciously having a cigarette when these women set about their day-to-day routines.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with the majority of the people who walk past the house. I began with a friendly hello and advanced to the point where I normally walk down to the garden gate and have a chat.
