We all support this, moving through the days, weeks, and years without giving it a doubt. Here's where I vary from the rest of you. Up until September, I had been much like you. Setting off to work every day, concerned more about what I was going to do with the day rather than what my neighbours would be up to. Then, I developed a problem with my knee. A semi-serious issue. It didn't stop me from doing most things, I might walk, run, and climb, however it did stop me from driving, and that in turn stopped me from working. I joined the ranks of the long-term ill, continued to get my paycheque, and sat and took it simple. The very first couple of weeks were great I. managed to get all the little tasks that accumulate done. Then in the 3rd week, a despair began to creep in. I had absolutely nothing to do, no place to go, and loads of time to kill. I began to get depressed.

We have a no smoking cigarettes policy in our home, enforced on the majority (me & my father) by the minority (my mother). From here, you can see the entrance to our neighbour's home and the fronts of 2 homes throughout the street. I started to pick up on when the mums walked their kids to school when they came back when they went out shopping, when they took the canine for a walk, and when they sat in the garden.

November, and by now I'm on speaking terms with most of the people who walk past the home. I began with a friendly hi and progressed to the point where I generally stroll down to the garden gate and have a chat. The majority of people would disrupt me now, and state that a lot of women at house do what I do, stop and talk with the other females. It's a very small street, 8 semi-detached houses and 1 separated (that's 5 buildings in all). Down the left side (as you stand at the top of the street) there is a vacant home, and then beside that is. where Jody lives. She's a 70 odd-year-old widower, who is constantly very first with any gossip. Next up is Graham's home, he's in his 50's. Next is Sheila's house, she's a big Irish lady in her 60's. Then last on this website is the removed home where Steve and Mandy deal with their 2 teenage children. They are in their late 30's.

On the right-hand side of the roadway, we start with Linda's house. She just recently separated from her husband and remains in the procedure of moving. She is in her mid 30's and has 2 pre-teen daughters Emma and Becky. Next is our house. I have not presented myself yet, so now would be a good time. I'm John (28 ), and I live with my mum Chrissie (45) and papa Bob (52 ). Next along are some newbies. At this time in November, I didn't understand their names, so-called them Dick and Helen to myself. They were a couple, in their late 30's, early 40's, and they seemed to keep themselves to themselves. Last on the row was a chap who worked somewhere in the City. I never spoke with him, although what I'm about to tell you, so this is the last time I discuss him.
